Dave Jackson is the inventor of CaveSim, a life-sized artificial cave that you crawl through, coupled with electronic
sensors to give you feedback on your careful caving skills. It can be used both for fun and for rescue training. Dave holds two patents on cave simulators, with additional patents pending. Dave has a background in electrical engineering at MIT, which he uses in the construction and maintenance of the caves. While attending MIT, he joined the outing and caving clubs, and after moving to Colorado, he and his wife joined the local caving club and began learning about cave search and rescue. This inspired him to build an artificial cave and make a business out of it.
