Intense conversation surrounding health, wellness, and fitness as it pertains to aging adults; specifically, Generation X and Boomers. We have an obesity and poor health epidemic in this country and our bad habits are beginning to spread throughout the world. The survival of the human race depends upon {us] moving away from the propaganda pushed by fast food conglomerates and educating ourselves on proper nutrition and exercise. We will use this platform to educate and hopefully move some people from the bondage of unhealthiness to the freedom of healthfulness.
The initial episodes will introduce the hosts and give a clear background into who we are and what drives us. We will provide statistics showing the obesity epidemic, the rise of fast-food outlets, the fall of physical activity, and what the future holds if we do not take control of our health and frankly, our lives.
Our focus is on Generation X and Boomers for several reasons. First, we love our generation and want to protect it. Secondly, we want to dispel the many myths related to aging. And thirdly, Boomers and Gen X are far from done with the lives we have set forth on. We have a lot more work to do on this planet. Good health and fitness will ensure we live long happy lives doing good for the planet.
All we practice and teach are based in science. We will never promote a fad program or diet. A fad is defined as: [noun] an intense and widely shared enthusiasm for something, especially one that is short-lived and without basis in the object’s qualities; a craze. This approach has been proven to get you nowhere. We will provide fact, evidence-based information that will improve the quality of a person’s life.
