Lisa Potts and Andrea Fleischmann are friends who met through their husbands who race triathlons professionally. Their friendship grew over the years and they quickly realized they had a lot in common including their love for cupcakes, cocktails and shoes. They struck up a cupcake conversation while wedding dress shopping for Andrea and agreed it was time to pursue their passion. They dusted off family recipes, added some modern flavors, and devised a menu of tasty treats. Their dream became a reality when they launched their business in August of 2011. They are now co-owners of Cupcake Girls, a cupcake shop they run in downtown Colorado Springs.
